How VELA protects you
A directory is only worth paying for if the people on it are real and the people contacting them are serious. Here is exactly how we handle that, and what you should do on your side.
Every listing is reviewed by a person
No profile goes live automatically. We check that the photographs look like the same person, that the details are plausible, and that nothing breaches our rules. Review normally takes one working day.
What the verified badge means
A verified badge means our team reviewed and approved the listing. It is not a background check, a credit check or a guarantee of professional conduct — treat it as a signal, not a promise.
Enquiries are traceable
Clients contact models through VELA, so every enquiry has a name, an email address and a written message attached to it. Nothing arrives anonymously.
Anything inappropriate is removed
Nudity, explicit content, escort or companionship offers and requests for services of a sexual nature are banned outright. Report anything you receive and we will act on it.
Rules that keep models safe

Never pay anyone for a guaranteed booking. Legitimate clients pay you, not the other way around.

Get the fee, shoot details and image usage in writing before the shoot.

Shoots happen in studios or on location — not in private homes or hotel rooms.

Take someone with you to a first shoot with a photographer you do not know.

Tell someone where you are going and what time you expect to finish.

Nudity or lingerie work must be agreed in writing in advance, or declined.
Report something
If a listing looks fake, or an enquiry is abusive, inappropriate or a scam, tell us and we will investigate. Removing bad actors quickly is the whole point.
